DIRECTOR OF CATERING & SPECIAL EVENTS
Melissa Saldibar was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley and launched her career shortly after graduating high school with SRC. She started as a hostess in 1998 at The Odyssey Restaurant and after only one year, was promoted to Catering Assistant and then Catering Manager for the sales office when Management realized the potential she had in sales and customer service.
Melissa knew right away after joining SRC that her gift and passion was in the restaurant and banquet industry. She enjoyed raising the bar as she accepted new roles and responsibilities in each restaurant including; The Proud Bird, Luminarias, Monterey Hill and the Odyssey Restaurant.
From 1998-2010 Melissa supported the different units increase sales, streamline day to day operations and train staff to provide a most memorable experience for every guest that would developing long lasting relationships. She did leave SRC briefly as the Associate Director of Sportsmen’s Lodge Event Center which gave her the skills and experience needed for a leadership role in any banquet facility. In February of 2015, she was brought back to the SRC family and is looking forward to continuing this relationship as the new Director of Catering at The Odyssey.
